Privacy policy

This English version is a translation provided for information purposes. Only the French version is legally binding.

This policy explains what personal information we collect on this website, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés).

Information collected

When you use the contact form, we receive:

• your identity and contact details: first name, last name, email address and, if you provide it, phone number;
• information about your property and your project: town, property type, number of bedrooms, number of guests, area or address, current rental situation, type of request and project goal;
• how you heard about Rent by LP and the content of your message.

To protect the form against abuse, an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address is kept for one hour at most. The host also keeps technical connection logs.

Why we use it

• To answer your request, review your property and offer you suitable support: these exchanges take place at your request, before any collaboration (article 6.1.b GDPR).
• To keep the website and the form secure: legitimate interest of Rent by LP (article 6.1.f GDPR).

Your information is never sold, rented or used for marketing without your consent.

Who can access it

Only authorised people at Rent by LP, and our technical service providers acting on our behalf (website hosting and email), strictly within the limits of their task. The host, Hostinger International Ltd., is established in the European Union.

How long we keep it

• Request with no follow-up: three years from our last exchange.
• Request followed by a collaboration: for the whole duration of the relationship, then for the retention periods required by law.
• Anti-abuse fingerprint of the IP address: one hour.

Your rights

You may at any time access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its use, object to its processing, request its portability, and set out instructions regarding what happens to it after your death. Write to us at contact@rentbylp.com: we reply within one month.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr.

WhatsApp and social media

The website links to WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. These links send no data until you click on them. If you message us on WhatsApp or interact with our pages, those exchanges are handled by Meta under its own terms and privacy policies; we use your messages solely to reply to you.

Cookies and trackers

This website uses no audience-measurement cookies, no advertising trackers and no third-party tracking services. Fonts are hosted on the website itself. Only one technical piece of information is kept in your browser during your visit, so that the welcome animation plays only once; it cannot identify you and disappears when the tab is closed.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Requests are sent to Rent by LP by email and are not stored on the website’s server.
